From the ripe age of 15, Louis knew he wanted to be a chef and started working at his local pizza place. From there, the idea turned to an adventure. Graduating from Kendall College and then working at the prestigious Everest Restaurant in Chicago under the guidance of Chef Jean Joho. From there, Louis moved to Napa Valley to learn more about wine. There, he was under the watchful eye of Chef Robert Curry at Auberge du Soleil. He then moved on to be the Executive Chef of Catering at Kendall College, Co-Owner of a Chicago based Food Truck, Chef de Cuisine of Portsmith Restaurant, and now a Culinary Professor at Kendall College. With Table and Lain, Chef Dourlain wants to teach you the tricks he has learned throughout the years to make any dinner party, holiday, or celebration a true success.
